Outdoor-rated Cat 6 link

This shielded Category 6 patch cable carries 1 Gbps at 250 MHz between two RJ45 endpoints. The 75 ft black jacket is built for exterior runs and direct burial where indoor cable would degrade.

Shielded, UV-resistant jacket

Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion while the weatherproof sheath blocks moisture and ultraviolet light. Shielding reduces electromagnetic interference on long outdoor routes between buildings or to cameras.

Cat 6 distance ceiling

The standard guarantees stated performance up to 100 metres, so 75 ft sits well within the certified envelope. Installations that need 10 Gbps or runs beyond 100 metres require a higher category or fibre.

Questions about this item

What speed and frequency does the Cat 6 outdoor cable actually deliver?

The cable is rated for up to 1 Gbps at 250 MHz, matching the Cat 6 standard for Gigabit Ethernet links.

What clearance and conduit size does the 75 ft shielded cable need for burial or wall entry?

The 75 ft run uses standard RJ45 ends; allow roughly 20 mm conduit diameter for the shielded jacket and connector passage.

How do I terminate the shielded outdoor cable so the ground path stays intact?

Use shielded RJ45 plugs, fold the foil and drain wire into the plug's grounding tab, crimp, then test shield continuity end to end.
