Flat Cat 7 patch cable

The QualGear Cat 7 RJ45 Ethernet patch cable is a flat, shielded network lead built for indoor wiring runs. Its low-profile shape slips under carpets and along skirting boards without leaving visible ridges. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors at both ends provide corrosion-resistant contact for reliable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit links. The ten-foot green length suits typical desk-to-router or patch-panel connections.

600 MHz bandwidth and triple shielding

Rated to 600 MHz, the cable supports 10 Gbps Ethernet signals over the full 100-metre channel distance defined for Cat 7. Triple shielding around 99.99 per cent oxygen-free copper conductors suppresses alien crosstalk and electromagnetic interference in dense cable bundles. The flat geometry does not change the electrical specification; it only eases routing in tight spaces.

Best for neat home and office runs.

Installers who need a single, easy-to-hide drop between a switch, router, NAS or workstation will appreciate the flat profile and pre-terminated ends. Buyers pulling multiple cables through conduit, cable trays or riser shafts should choose round solid-core Cat 7 instead, as the flat jacket is not rated for those pathways. The fixed ten-foot length also limits use where longer or custom-cut runs are required.

Questions about this item

Will this cable actually deliver 10 Gbps on my home network?

The cable is rated for 10 Gbps Ethernet and 600 MHz bandwidth over distances up to 100 m, so it will support that speed provided your router, switch and network cards also operate at 10 Gbps.

What does Cat 7 with 600 MHz mean for my connection?

Cat 7 specifies shielding and a 600 MHz frequency ceiling, which preserves signal integrity for 10 Gbps traffic and reduces crosstalk in electrically noisy environments.

How thick is the flat cable and will it fit under a door or carpet?

The flat profile is designed to slide under carpets and along baseboards without creating noticeable bumps, making it easy to route through tight gaps such as door jambs.
