Cat 6 Shielded Patch Cable 150 ft

This shielded Category 6 patch cable runs 150 ft and terminates in RJ45 connectors on both ends. It is built for home and office networks that need a single long run between a router, switch or wall jack and a desktop, printer or access point. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain a secure connection over time. The grey jacket helps identify the link in crowded patch panels.

Practical Limits of Cat 6 at 250 MHz

The cable is rated for 250 MHz bandwidth and supports data rates up to 1 Gbps. Shielding reduces alien crosstalk in dense cable trays, but the 100 metre channel limit still applies; at 150 ft you remain well within that boundary for gigabit traffic. Performance above 1 Gbps is not guaranteed by the Category 6 standard, so multi-gigabit equipment will negotiate down to 1 Gbps on this link.

Check Your Existing Setup Before Ordering

Verify that both endpoints have standard RJ45 ports and that the 150 ft length reaches without excess slack that could be damaged. Confirm the pathway can accommodate a shielded round cable and that any keystone jacks or patch panels accept Cat 6 conductors. If you need plenum-rated jacket material or a different colour for cable management, this specific grey riser-grade cable will not meet those requirements.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 25 ft, 50 ft, 75 ft, 100 ft, 150 ft, 200 ft, 250 ft or 300 ft version for my run?

Choose the shortest length that reaches between your router and device with a little slack; the 150 ft gray cable you are viewing covers longer runs across rooms or floors.

What does the 1 Gbps rating actually deliver when I plug this cable into my PC and router?

It provides a full gigabit link at up to 250 MHz bandwidth, so file transfers, streaming and gaming run at the maximum speed your gigabit ports allow.

How does the shielded Cat 6 construction and RJ45 connectors limit real-world performance?

The foil shielding reduces crosstalk and the gold-plated RJ45 plugs maintain clean contact, letting the cable sustain its rated 1 Gbps over the full 150 ft distance.
