Portable Car Tunes speaker with USB and microSD

The QuantumFX CS-36USNote is a portable speaker finished in red. It plays audio from USB drives and microSD cards and includes an FM radio with high-sensitivity stereo reception. A 3.5 mm auxiliary input connects phones, tablets, MP3 players and other devices. An LED light and display provide visual feedback during use.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The unit runs on a built-in lithium battery charged through a DC 5.0 V mini-USB port. The 3 W speaker driver produces sound across a quoted frequency range of 100 MHz to 18 kHz. Battery operation keeps the system silent with no fan noise and minimal heat during typical listening sessions.

Deciding specification: 3 W mono output

The single 3 watt driver delivers mono audio suitable for personal listening or small gatherings. Buyers who want room-filling stereo sound or higher volume for outdoor events will need a more powerful speaker system. The 3.5 mm auxiliary cable doubles as the FM antenna for radio reception.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 3.5 mm stereo male-to-mini USB AUX cable so it also works as the FM antenna?

Plug the 3.5 mm end into your device's headphone jack and the mini USB end into the speaker's AUX input; the cable then doubles as the FM antenna, so keep it fully extended for best reception.

What battery upkeep does the built-in lithium cell require?

Recharge via the DC 5.0 V mini USB port before the cell drops too low, and top it up every few months during storage to preserve capacity.

At what volume level does the 3 W driver start to distort during long playback?

Distortion typically appears when the multi-function volume control is pushed near maximum for extended periods; backing off a few steps keeps output clean.
