Rack Kit for UCG-Ultra & USW-Ultra

The RM-UB-T7 rackmount kit holds a Ubiquiti UCG-Ultra and USW-Ultra switch in a single 1U space. It is built for network administrators who need to install both devices together in a standard server cabinet. The dark blue enclosure is manufactured in the Netherlands and carries RoHS certification.

Tool-Free 1U Installation

The kit slides into a 1U rack opening and uses built-in brackets to secure each device without extra tools. Setup takes roughly three minutes, freeeding bench space and keeping cabling tidy inside the cabinet. It supports the UCG-MAX, UCG-Ultra, USW-Ultra, USW-Ultra-60W and USW-Ultra-210W models for flexible deployment.

Sustained Operation in a 1U Bay

Once mounted, the devices sit firmly in place so vibration from rack neighbours does not loosen connections over time. The open layout allows airflow to pass through the 1U slot, helping the switch and controller maintain stable temperatures during continuous duty. No moving parts in the kit mean nothing wears out under long-term load.

Questions about this item

How much rack height does this kit occupy?

The kit fits into a single 1U slot, so it uses the minimum vertical space in a standard rack.

Does the metalwork or mounting hardware generate noticeable heat or noise during continuous operation?

The bracket is a passive steel assembly with no fans or moving parts, so it adds no audible noise or measurable heat to the rack.

Which Ubiquiti devices must I already own for this bracket to be usable?

It is built for the UCG-Ultra, USW-Ultra, USW-Ultra-60W and USW-Ultra-210W models; at least one of those is required.
