Saltwater Slashbait Lure

The Rapala X-Rap Saltwater 3-1/8" Purple Chartreuse is a suspending hard bait built for casting or trolling in saltwater. Its Slashbait action creates an erratic, wounded-minnow profile when ripped. Perma Steel hooks and a durable body withstand harsh marine conditions.

Check Tackle Compatibility

Verify your rod and reel can cast a 1/4 oz lure effectively and that your line test suits the two No. 6 treble hooks. The lure runs at 3-5 ft, so confirm this depth matches your target species and fishing area. Ensure the Purple Chartreuse pattern fits local forage colours.

Built for Saltwater Durability

The textured translucent body resists corrosion while the internal holographic foil maintains flash after repeated exposure. VMC Perma Steel hooks stay sharp in saltwater. Hand-tuned and tank-tested, each lure performs consistently without tuning adjustments needed.

Questions about this item

What comes in the package with the Rapala X-Rap Saltwater 3-1/8" Purple Chartreuse lure?

The box contains the single suspending hard lure fitted with two VMC Perma Steel No. 6 treble hooks. No split rings, leaders or extra hardware are included.

Should I choose this 3-1/8" 1/4 oz suspending model or a different size for saltwater use?

Pick this size when you need a 3–5 ft running depth and a 1/4 oz profile for casting or trolling; larger models run deeper and heavier, smaller ones run shallower.

How does the 3–5 ft running depth perform when the lure is actually cast or trolled?

The lure suspends at 3–5 ft on a steady retrieve or troll, and the internal long-cast system keeps it in that zone during the pause for slashbait action.
