KVM Cable for Dominion KX II

The Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB connects a target server to a Dominion KX II KVM-over-IP switch using a single Cat5 cable. It provides one 15-pin HD-15 male video connector and two Type A male USB connectors for keyboard and mouse. The opposite end terminates in an RJ-45 female network jack for the switch link. This 4-connector assembly is designed for new deployments in Raritan environments.

Server rooms needing direct KVM access

Administrators managing Raritan Dominion KX II switches use this cable to attach servers that have VGA video and USB ports. It is not suited for servers that only offer HDMI, DisplayPort or PS/2 interfaces. Buyers requiring serial console redirection or virtual media support should look at a different CIM module. Those needing longer reach than a single Cat5 run allows will need an alternative cabling plan.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the cable with the 15-pin HD-15 video and dual USB Type-A connectors or a different connector layout?

This cable has a 15-pin HD-15 male video connector and two USB Type-A male connectors on one end, with an RJ-45 female network connector on the other. Choose it when your KVM switch or server matches those exact interfaces.

What does the four-connector count mean when I plug this into a live server?

The four connectors carry video, keyboard, mouse and the KVM-over-IP link simultaneously, so a single cable run handles console video, USB input and remote management traffic between the server and the Dominion KX II switch.
