Printwheel with Presentor 10 font for IBM Wheelwriter typewriters, compatible with models 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, 30, 35, 50, 70, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 5000 and 7000
This printwheel is a high-quality replacement element for IBM Wheelwriter typewriters. It provides the Presentor 10 font in English for compatible machines. The part fits models across the 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 6 Series II, 10, 15, 30, 35, 50, 70, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 5000, and 7000 series. It restores crisp character output for existing hardware.
As a passive mechanical component, the printwheel generates no heat, noise, or electrical draw during operation. It requires no power supply or cooling consideration. Performance depends entirely on the typewriter's own mechanism and ribbon condition. There are no thermal limits or acoustic ratings to manage.
The Presentor 10 font changes the visual style of every typed character compared to other available printwheels. English language characters are the only set included on this wheel. Builders needing proportional spacing or international character sets must select a different printwheel model. This accessory does not alter typing speed or machine reliability.

Lift the top cover, pull the release lever forward, slide the old printwheel off its hub, press the new wheel on until it clicks, then return the lever and close the cover. The step often missed is not seating the wheel fully before locking the lever, which causes misaligned characters.
The plastic petals wear down after extended typing, producing lighter or incomplete impressions. Replace the printwheel when characters become faint or broken. No lubrication or cleaning of the wheel itself is required; only the typewriter's platen and ribbon mechanism need periodic attention.
The nylon petals soften from heat and friction during long print runs, causing character deformation and reduced strike clarity. This wear limit arrives before any mechanical failure of the hub or mounting clips.
