12 V 5 A desktop power adapter
This 12 V 5 A AC-DC adapter powers LCD monitors and similar DC devices from a 100-240 V mains supply. The 5.5 mm by 2.5 mm barrel plug matches the input jack on many Acer, BenQ, CTX, Gem, HP, Megavision, Planar and Princeton displays.
Sustained 60 W delivery without shutdown
Rated for continuous 12 V 5 A output, the unit maintains full power during long monitoring sessions or signage loops. The wide 100-240 V input tolerates voltage variation in office or retail environments without tripping.
5.5 mm x 2.5 mm centre-positive barrel
The connector dimensions decide compatibility; the 2.5 mm inner and 5.5 mm outer diameters must match the device jack exactly. Buyers whose equipment uses a different barrel size or a locking connector cannot use this adapter.

Questions about this item
Does the 12V 5A brick run hot or make fan noise when powering a monitor all day?
The adapter has no fan and relies on passive cooling; it will get warm under continuous 60 W load but stays within normal operating temperature.
What cable or connector must I already have on my device for the 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm plug to fit?
Your device needs a DC jack with a 5.5 mm outer diameter and 2.5 mm centre pin — the exact barrel size listed for this supply.
Will this 12 V 5 A unit replace the original adapter on an older Acer AL712 or HP Pavilion 1503 monitor?
Yes — both models appear in the compatibility list and require the same 12 V 5 A output with a 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm barrel connector.
