Replacement AC Adapter for Three Classic Consoles

This new power adapter replaces the original supplies for the Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo SNES and Sega Genesis Model I. It delivers the correct DC voltage for each system from a single unit. The adapter is intended for owners who want one reliable replacement instead of three separate bricks. It will not fit later Genesis revisions or other consoles not listed.

Protection Features and Rated Lifespan

The unit includes over-voltage, over-current and over-heating protection circuits to safeguard the connected console. A rated lifespan of 20000 hours provides long-term headroom for regular retro gaming sessions. The adapter runs cool under normal load and maintains stable output across the three supported platforms. It has no user-serviceable parts and cannot be repaired if protection circuits trigger permanently.

Composite Video Improvement on NES

Because the adapter converts AC to DC cleanly, it often removes wavy or fuzzy artifacts on an original NES connected via RCA composite. This benefit applies only to the NES and only when the issue stems from the power supply, not the console video output or the television. Buyers whose NES already outputs a clean picture will see no change. The adapter does not improve video on SNES or Genesis.

Questions about this item

Will this adapter power my original NES, SNES and Sega Genesis Model 1 consoles?

Yes, it is designed to work with all three systems: NES, SNES and Sega Genesis I.

How can I tell the adapter is working correctly after I plug it in?

The console powers on normally and, on an original NES using RCA composite, a previously fuzzy or wavy image should appear cleaner.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy any cables separately?

The adapter ships in bulk packaging with no retail box; you must supply the correct power cable for your console.
