What the Barracuda X is and who it is for

The Barracuda X is a wireless gaming headset built for players who move between PC, PlayStation, Switch and mobile devices. It supports 7.1 surround sound on compatible platforms and uses 40mm drivers tuned for a 20Hz-20KHz response. The 250g frame and circumaural ear cups are designed for extended sessions without fatigue.

How to set it up and what to watch for

Pair the USB-C dongle for 2.4GHz low-latency audio or enable Bluetooth for phone calls and media. A single button toggles between the two wireless modes without re-pairing. The detachable cardioid microphone snaps in when needed and stores away when not. Remember that 7.1 surround is only active over the 2.4GHz link on supported systems.

The spec that decides fit

Battery life reaches up to 50 hours on a full charge, so the headset can last several days of typical play between top-ups. If you need continuous use beyond that window without a wired option, this model will not cover it.
