Converts Toslink or coaxial digital PCM to analog RCA and 3.5 mm jack at up to 192 kHz 24-bit
The RCA AU511 is a digital-to-analog audio converter that accepts Toslink optical or coaxial PCM signals and outputs stereo analogue audio through both RCA phono sockets and a 3.5 mm jack. It draws power from a USB Type-C connection and is supplied with an optical cable, a USB power lead and a user manual. The aluminium alloy housing provides electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation for stable operation.
This unit suits users connecting a PS3, PS4, Xbox, Blu-ray player or similar source that delivers PCM audio at 32, 44.1, 48, 96 or 192 kHz and 24-bit depth to an amplifier, powered speakers or headphones with RCA or 3.5 mm inputs. It does not decode 5.1-channel Dolby or DTS bitstreams, so buyers who require multichannel surround sound should look elsewhere. The converter only accepts PCM input; other formats may produce noise or silence.
The converter needs a certified 5 V 1 A USB power supply — TV USB ports are discouraged because their output can be unstable — and a source device set to PCM output. It frees the user from relying on a display or receiver that lacks digital audio inputs, providing immediate analogue L/R and 3.5 mm outputs without driver installation. Secure cable connections and a quality shielded optical lead help avoid interference.

No, the unit only decodes uncompressed 2.1-channel PCM or LPCM; 5.1-channel Dolby and DTS bitstreams are not supported and will produce noise or silence.
The power indicator should light steadily when a certified 5 V 1 A charger is used; audio should play without delay or noise when the source is set to PCM and all plugs are fully seated.
