ESTONE T001A Toslink 30 ft Cable

The ESTONE T001A is a new Toslink digital optical audio cable measuring 30 ft in length. It uses a male-to-male configuration with 24K gold-plated metal connectors and a braided black jacket. The fiber core is designed for lossless optical signal transmission over short-range connections.

Suits home-theatre and audio setups needing a long

This cable suits users connecting Blu-ray players, game consoles, satellite DVRs, computers, DAT recorders or other S/PDIF-equipped gear to an AV receiver across a 30 ft run. It supports uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 surround formats including Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, ADAT and LPCM. Buyers whose devices only have coaxial RCA or mini-Toslink sockets cannot use this male-to-male square plug.

30 ft male-to-male Toslink

The single specification that decides fit is the 30 ft male-to-male Toslink interface with 24K gold-plated connectors and a 2.2/5.0 mm outer diameter. The heavy-duty pop-up plug design aids alignment and durable insertion. Verify your source and destination both accept a standard square Toslink plug before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 30 ft Toslink cable come with everything needed to connect my soundbar, or do I need separate adapters?

The cable has male Toslink connectors on both ends and plugs directly into S/PDIF optical ports on TVs, soundbars, receivers, game consoles or Blu-ray players — no extra adapters are required.

I see only one length listed; is the 30 ft version the right choice for a typical living-room setup?

At 30 ft the cable covers most sofa-to-TV distances with slack for routing; choose it when the optical ports are far apart, otherwise a shorter run avoids excess coil.

What does the 5.1 to 7.1 surround support actually deliver when I plug this into my AV receiver?

It passes uncompressed PCM stereo and compressed multi-channel formats such as Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD over the optical link, so the receiver decodes full 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.
