Microprismatic Conspicuity Tape

Reflexite V42 is a DOT-C2 certified microprismatic tape built for commercial trucks, trailers, tankers and other heavy-duty mobile equipment. The alternating 11-inch red and 7-inch white pattern meets NHTSA 49 CFR 571.108 requirements for side and rear vehicle marking. It is sold new in a 2-inch by 50-yard roll on a 3-inch core.

Capacity and headroom

The 50-yard length covers multiple vehicles or full perimeter runs on large trailers. The 3-year durability rating fits retrofit schedules where 5- or 10-year films are not required. The tape resists petrol, diesel and solvents, but it is not rated for longer service life or for applications beyond commercial vehicle conspicuity marking.

Thermals noise and power draw

The fully metalised UV-stabilised polyester film is 0.008 inch thick and carries a vacuum-deposited aluminium mirror layer behind the cube-corner prisms. An aggressive acrylic adhesive bonds to bare metal, painted metal, fiberglass and structural composites without mechanical fasteners. No power, cooling or noise considerations apply to this passive safety marking product.
