4K 8MP solar wireless camera

The Reolink Argus Eco Ultra is a wireless network camera that captures 4K 8MP video with colour night vision. It connects via 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi using an internal antenna and is powered by the included 6W Solar Panel 2 with a 4 m cable. A microSD slot supports cards up to 512 GB for local recording.

Upgrade from lower-resolution battery cameras

Moving from a 1080p or 2K wire-free camera to this 8MP model adds the pixel density needed to recognise faces or licence plates at distance. The dual-band Wi-Fi option also reduces congestion compared with single-band 2.4 GHz units. The jump is worth it when detail at night and flexible mounting without power cables are both priorities.

Suits owners wanting wire-free 4K with local storage

This kit suits homeowners who need a single outdoor camera they can mount on a wall or ceiling without running mains power. It is not for installers who require pan and tilt movement, continuous 24/7 recording without solar reliance, or multi-camera systems managed from a single NVR.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 360° rotatable bracket need for wall or ceiling mounting?

The bracket rotates a full 360° and includes a 4 m solar-panel cable, so allow enough space for the camera body plus the cable bend radius at the chosen angle.

What is the correct order for pairing the camera to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi‑Fi during the Reolink app setup?

Power the camera, open the app, scan the QR code on the device, then select the desired 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz SSID and enter the password; the camera will confirm connection before you mount it.

What is the maximum microSD capacity the camera slot accepts for local recording?

The microSD slot supports cards up to 512 GB, allowing months of 4K 8 MP footage to be stored directly on the camera.
