12MP PoE Dome Camera for Continuous Recording

The Reolink RLC-1224A is a wired 12MP network camera that delivers 6K resolution through a fixed F1.6 aperture lens with a 93° viewing angle. It targets homeowners and business operators who need 24/7 surveillance with colour night vision powered by a 700lm spotlight. Person, vehicle and pet detection runs on the camera without a subscription fee.

Single-Cable PoE Installation

Power and data travel over one RJ45 cable using Power over Ethernet, while a DC 12V option provides a fallback. The dome body mounts on walls or ceilings wherever the PoE cable reaches. A microSD slot accepts cards up to 256GB for local storage; recordings can also be sent to a Reolink NVR or FTP server. No wireless setup is involved.

Sustained 24/7 Operation with Colour Night Vision

Continuous recording is supported alongside motion-triggered and scheduled modes, keeping the spotlight active through the night for full-colour footage. The fixed lens and onboard processing maintain steady frame rates during long sessions. Two-way audio lets you listen and speak through the built-in microphone and speaker during any recording period.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 12MP 6K video is streaming correctly after installation?

Open the Reolink app or client, select the live view for the RLC-1224A and confirm the resolution indicator shows 12MP; the 93° wide-angle view and 700lm spotlight should render a clear, colour image at night.

What accessories come with the single-camera pack and what must I provide?

The box contains one RLC-1224A dome camera; you must supply a PoE switch or injector, an Ethernet cable and a microSD card up to 256GB if you want local recording.

Which storage capacity should I choose for continuous 24/7 recording on the microSD slot?

The camera supports up to 256GB microSD cards; a 256GB card gives the longest loop-recording time before older footage is overwritten.
