5MP PoE Dome Camera

The Reolink RLC-520A is a wired IP camera that delivers 2560 x 1920 resolution video. It connects through a single RJ45 cable using Power over Ethernet, simplifying cabling for outdoor or indoor mounting. The white dome housing suits home, yard, store, factory, warehouse, school or hotel installations where a PoE cable can be run.

Smart Detection and Flexible Recording

Built-in human and vehicle detection filters motion alerts so you receive notifications only for relevant activity. A microphone captures ambient sound alongside video. Recording can run 24/7 to a micro SD card up to 256GB, a compatible Reolink NVR or an FTP server. Time-lapse recording compresses long processes such as 3D printing into short clips via the Reolink App.

ONVIF Compatible PoE Camera

This camera suits installers who want a single-cable PoE deployment with ONVIF Profile S support for third-party NVR or software integration. Buyers needing wireless connectivity, battery operation or local storage beyond 256GB should consider other form factors. Compatibility with specific NVR hardware versions should be verified before purchase.

Questions about this item

How often will the micro SD card need replacing if I record 24/7 at 5MP?

The camera supports cards up to 256GB; card lifespan depends on write cycles and capacity chosen, not on the camera itself.

What limits continuous 2560x1920 recording during extended use?

Storage capacity is the first limit — the micro SD slot accepts up to 256GB, after which older footage is overwritten or recording stops.

How much heat or noise does the dome produce when powered via PoE all day?

The camera draws power through IEEE802.3af PoE with no internal fan, so it runs silently and generates minimal heat during 24/7 operation.
