16-Channel PoE NVR Kit

The RLK16-800D8 combines a 16-channel network video recorder with eight 8-megapixel IP cameras for continuous property monitoring. Power over Ethernet delivers data and electricity through a single cable to each camera, reducing cabling complexity for installers. The package includes a pre-installed 4 TB hard drive ready for immediate recording.

Person Vehicle Animal Detection

On-board analytics distinguish people, vehicles and animals from irrelevant motion such as foliage or precipitation, so the NVR only flags events that matter. Users can review filtered clips instead of scanning hours of uneventful footage. Up to twelve devices can stream live views simultaneously across twenty accounts without subscription fees.

100 Mbps PoE Interface

Each camera port negotiates at 10/100 Mbps, capping per-stream bandwidth and limiting the number of simultaneous 4K feeds the recorder can ingest without congestion. The single LAN uplink also tops out at 100 Mbps, so remote viewing of multiple high-resolution streams may saturate the link. Internal storage expands to 16 TB using drives no larger than 8 TB each.

Questions about this item

How long before the pre-installed 4TB hard drive needs replacement under 24/7 recording?

The NVR includes a 4TB HDD and supports up to 16TB total with each bay accepting up to 8TB, so you can add a second drive later without replacing the original.

What bandwidth limit appears first when all 16 PoE cameras stream at 8MP 20FPS continuously?

Each PoE port is 10/100 Mbps and the uplink is also 10/100 Mbps, so the single LAN/WAN port becomes the bottleneck before the individual camera ports saturate.

How much heat and fan noise does the 16-channel NVR produce when recording 24/7 with eight 8MP cameras?

The unit uses a 10/100 Mbps PoE switch and 4TB HDD with no specifications for fan speed, thermal output or acoustic rating provided in the product data.
