Ready-to-play family radio for children aged 6-12

The Retevis A1026C is a licence-free two-way radio built for family garden games, camping trips and summer-camp activities. It operates on the 462-467 MHz band with 22 channels and 121 CTCSS codes so siblings can find a clear frequency quickly. The rounded ABS+PC body measures 6.2 x 2.1 x 1.1 inches and weighs very little, making it comfortable for small hands during extended outdoor play.

22 channels and 121 privacy codes cover

VOX hands-free mode lets children talk without pressing buttons while adjustable volume across 8 levels keeps audio clear. The keypad lock prevents accidental channel changes during active games. Range is suitable for parks, shopping malls and campsites but will not penetrate dense urban blocks or heavy woodland. Each unit requires three AA batteries which are not supplied.

Belt clip and call tones add convenience

A spring-loaded belt clip secures the radio to collars, bags or belts so it stays put while running or climbing. Ten selectable call tones give a playful alert before voice transmission begins. The package includes a user manual; no headset, charger or programming cable is provided.

Questions about this item

Will the 22 channels on this A1026C interfere with the older FRS radios we already own?

Both sets use the same 462-467 MHz band and 121 CTCSS codes, so they can talk to each other when tuned to matching channel and privacy code.

How do I confirm the keypad lock is actually engaged after I slide the switch?

The display shows a lock icon and pressing any channel or volume button produces no change until the lock is released.

Does the package include the three AA cells each unit needs, or must I buy them separately?

The box contains two radios, two belt clips and a user manual; three AA batteries per radio are not included and must be purchased separately.
