Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 Document Scanner

The Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 is a sheet-fed document scanner built for high-volume capture. It processes 45 double-sided sheets per minute through a 100-page automatic document feeder. A 5-inch LCD touch screen provides direct control over scan jobs and destinations. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.2 for flexible placement.

Suited for receipt-heavy workflows

This model targets businesses that need fast duplex scanning with optimised receipt and invoice processing. Direct export to QuickBooks Online streamlines accounting tasks. Ultrasonic double-feed detection protects document integrity. Buyers who require network scanning without Wi-Fi 6 infrastructure or who need flatbed scanning for bound materials should consider other configurations.

45 double-sided sheets per minute scanning speed

The 45-sheet-per-minute duplex rate is the primary measure of throughput for this scanner. It determines whether the device matches the volume demands of daily batch scanning. The 100-page ADF capacity supports extended unattended runs. If your workload centres on lower volumes or single-sided pages, a slower unit may suffice.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 and which step often causes issues?

Connect the USB 3.2 Type-C cable or join Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz), then download ScanSnap Home Software; the step people miss is selecting Router Connect or Direct Connect mode on the 5-inch LCD Touch Screen Display before the first scan.

What maintenance or replacement will the Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500 need later?

The pick rollers and separation pad inside the 100-page ADF wear out after heavy daily use; replace them when double-feed alerts rise or paper skew becomes frequent.

What limit appears first during sustained scanning on the Ricoh ScanSnap iX2500?

The 100-page ADF capacity fills fastest; at 45 double-sided sheets per minute you must unload the output tray roughly every two minutes to keep the feeder running.
