Versatile Indoor/Outdoor Camera

The Ring Stick Up Cam Plug-In is a wired 1080p HD security camera designed for placement inside or outside the home. It connects to standard power outlets to provide continuous operation without battery charging. Users receive motion-activated notifications on their phone or tablet and can see, hear, and speak to visitors via two-way talk. The camera supports Live View on demand through the Ring app.

Simple Plug-In Installation

Setup takes minutes by plugging the included power adapter into a standard outlet and connecting the camera via the Ring app. The package provides screws and wall anchors for permanent mounting or the unit can sit on a flat surface for flexible positioning. A common issue is ensuring the chosen location has a reliable Wi-Fi signal and accessible power outlet within the cable's reach. Privacy zones and audio privacy settings are configured in the app to limit recording areas.

Pre-Purchase Setup Check

Verify that the installation spot offers a strong Wi-Fi connection and a nearby mains socket for the wired power adapter. Decide whether you prefer a permanent wall mount using the supplied hardware or a portable flat-surface placement. Note that video recording and review for up to 180 days requires a separate Ring Protect Plan subscription. Confirm the camera's field of view covers the desired area before finalising the mount.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 1080p camera is working after plugging it in and mounting it indoors or outdoors?

Open the Ring app and start Live View; you should see a clear 1080p HD video feed with night vision active in low light and receive a motion-activated notification when you walk in front of the lens.

Which accessories come in the box and what must I provide separately to power and mount the camera?

The box includes the Stick Up Cam Plug-In, an indoor/outdoor power adapter, screws and wall anchors, and the packaging; you only need a standard power outlet and the free Ring app on your phone or tablet.

What should I consider when choosing between the wired Plug-In model and other Stick Up Cam versions such as battery or solar?

The Plug-In model (identified by the 32 in its SKU) draws continuous power from an outlet so you never recharge a battery, while battery or solar versions offer wire-free placement but require periodic charging or sunlight.
