This Roby Technology TDM800P provides eight FXO ports over a PCI interface. It is designed for system integrators building VoIP telephone systems, IP PBX appliances or call-centre gateways using Asterisk, FreePBX, Issabel, Dahdi or compatible open-source platforms. The low-profile bracket allows installation in 2U servers or compact chassis. Buyers needing FXS ports for analogue handsets or a pure PCIe interface cannot use this card.

Fits a PCI slot in a 2U server

The card occupies a single legacy PCI slot and includes a low-profile bracket for 2U rackmount systems. It connects directly to PSTN lines through its eight FXO ports, letting the host PC handle call routing, voicemail and trunking without external gateway hardware. A spare PCI slot and a supported Linux-based PBX distribution are required. Systems that only offer PCIe slots or lack low-profile clearance will not accept this board.

Eight simultaneous PSTN trunks

Each of the eight FXO ports terminates one analogue telephone line, giving up to eight concurrent inbound or outbound calls. The onboard DAHDI 2.2.0 driver stack with MG2 echo cancellation handles signalling and voice processing on the host CPU. Environments that require more than eight analogue trunks, digital PRI/E1 interfaces or hardware-based transcoding will exceed the capacity of this single card.
