What this mouse is and who it suits

The ROCCAT Burst Core Extreme Lightweight Optical Gaming Mouse in black is built for competitive players who want a responsive optical sensor in a light frame. It uses a PixArt PMW3331 sensor rated at 8500 dpi and 300ips maximum speed. On-board memory stores personal settings directly on the device. Buyers who need wireless freedom or a heavier chassis should look elsewhere.

Capacity and headroom

The 8500 dpi sensor with 35G acceleration covers fast flick shots and high-sensitivity play without smoothing. At very low sensitivities the granularity remains consistent, while the 300ips ceiling handles rapid swipes across large pads. The four programmable buttons cover essential macros but leave advanced multi-button layouts unsupported.

The specification that decides fit

The PixArt PMW3331 optical sensor defines the tracking ceiling and feel of this mouse. Its native 8500 dpi resolution and 35G acceleration determine whether the cursor response matches a player’s aiming style. If the sensor’s characteristics align with the user’s preference, the lightweight shell and on-board memory complete the package.

Questions about this item

Will the PixArt PMW3331 sensor track reliably on the cloth pad I already use?

The PixArt PMW3331 optical sensor supports up to 8500 dpi, 300ips maximum speed and 35G acceleration, so it tracks consistently on standard cloth surfaces without needing a specialised pad.

How can I confirm the 8500 dpi setting is active after I configure it?

Use the on-board memory to save your profile; the dpi level you select stays stored on the mouse itself, so the setting persists across different PCs without extra software.

Does the package include extra feet or a grip kit, or must I buy them separately?

The box contains the Burst Core mouse only; replacement feet and grip tape are not included and would need to be purchased separately if required.
