Rockford Fosgate PMX16C extension cable

The Rockford Fosgate PMX16C is a 16-foot extension cable designed for car audio installations. It provides the extra reach needed to route signals between head units, amplifiers or processors in larger vehicles. Weighing 2.00 units, it is built for standard vehicle environments.

Installers needing a single long run

This cable suits installers who need one continuous 16-foot length to bridge components without joining shorter leads. It is not for systems requiring multiple independent runs, shielded twisted-pair construction or a different connector type than the one fitted.

16-foot length decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 16-foot length; measure the exact path between your devices before ordering. If the required distance is shorter or longer, this cable will not match the installation.

Questions about this item

What type of head unit or receiver do I already need to use this 16-foot extension cable?

It connects to a compatible Rockford Fosgate head unit or receiver to extend the wiring reach by sixteen feet.

Will the 16-foot length and 2.00 weight work with my existing shorter factory wiring harness?

The sixteen-foot cable adds reach and weighs two units, so it can bridge the gap between your factory harness and the head unit location.

How can I verify the extension cable is functioning correctly after installation?

Power on the head unit and confirm all audio channels, display functions and steering-wheel controls operate without signal loss.
