RODE Microphone REPORTER Omnidirectional Interview Microphone with Rycote Square Mic Flag

Professional Handheld Interview Microphone

The RODE REPORTER is a dynamic omnidirectional microphone designed for handheld interview and presentation work. Its die-cast aluminum body with matte black anti-glare finish provides durability for field use. The integrated multi-layer mesh basket reduces environmental noise without a separate foam windshield. A removable Rycote Square Mic Flag and microfiber cloth are included in the package.

Omnidirectional Polar Pattern for Consistent Pickup

The omnidirectional capsule captures sound evenly from all directions, removing the need for precise microphone aiming during interviews. Frequency response is tailored to voice at 70Hz to 15kHz with an output impedance of 150 Ohms. The XLR output connects directly to professional mixers, recorders and audio interfaces. The mic flag fits reporter microphones ranging from 19 to 38mm in diameter.

Suited for Field Reporters and Presenters

This microphone suits journalists, broadcasters and content creators who need reliable handheld performance in unpredictable environments. It is not intended for studio vocal recording where a directional cardioid pattern is preferred. Users requiring USB connectivity for direct computer input should consider a different interface type. The dynamic capsule does not require phantom power.
