What this shredder does

The Royal 16999U is a strip-cut shredder designed for light home or small-office use. It handles up to five sheets per pass and includes a basket for collecting the cut strips.

Installation and common issues

Place the unit on a flat surface, plug it in and switch it on. The main issue is exceeding the five-sheet limit, which can cause a jam that must be cleared manually before continuing.

Who should buy it and who should not

Buyers who only need occasional document destruction and prefer a simple strip-cut mechanism will find this model suitable. Those who require higher security cross-cut particles, greater sheet capacity or continuous-run capability should look at other options.
