Product Identity

The BESTAIR PRO 5-2025-11-2 is a pleated synthetic furnace air cleaner filter measuring 20x25x5. It carries a MERV 11 rating for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The filter includes a frame for structural integrity and a gasket to prevent air bypass during operation.

Suitable Installations

This filter suits homeowners and maintenance technicians needing a direct OEM replacement with high particle capture efficiency. It is not for systems requiring a different nominal size or a higher MERV rating than 11. Buyers needing washable media or carbon odour control should look elsewhere.

Decisive Specification

The MERV 11 rating determines the filter's ability to capture particles between 1.0 and 3.0 microns, including dust, pollen and mould spores. This single metric decides whether the filtration level matches the specific air quality requirements of the HVAC system.

Questions about this item

What furnace cabinet depth will the 5 inch filter fit?

The filter is built to a 5 inch depth so it fits cabinets that accept a 20x25x5 nominal size.

Will the MERV 11 media restrict airflow on an older blower rated at 300 fpm?

Airflow is rated at 300 fpm, matching typical residential blower speeds for balanced filtration and system pressure.

How can I confirm the pleated media is sealing properly after installation?

Check that the frame sits flush in the track and the gasket contacts the cabinet on all sides with no visible gaps.
