Wi-Fi 6 wall-plate access point with four Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual IoT radios and PoE pass-through for in-room wired and wireless devices
Configuration 5 x 1 Gbe, Wi-Fi 6
The RUCKUS H550 combines a Wi-Fi 6 access point, a four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and dual IoT radios in a wall-plate form factor. It targets hotels, student residences and multi-dwelling units that need wired and wireless connectivity from a single cable drop. The unit mounts over a standard electrical junction box for discreet installation.
The access point draws power through a 1000Base-T PoE input port and can pass PoE out to a connected device such as an IP phone. Three additional 1000Base-T ports and a USB 2.0 Type A port provide wired links for IPTV set-top boxes, IP phones, networked minibars and optional IoT modules without extra cabling or power supplies.
The device operates continuously between 32 °F and 104 °F at up to 95 % non-condensing humidity. BeamFlex adaptive antenna technology and LDPC coding maintain link quality under persistent multi-client load. Maximum transmit power reaches 19 dBm on 2.4 GHz and 22 dBm on 5 GHz to support consistent coverage.
Measured against everything we stock in Wi-Fi Access Points, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Other versions of this model
The 1.8 Gbps figure is a peak PHY rate; real-world throughput drops with each added client and with interference, so sustained multi-user loads will run below that number.
Operating temperature is rated up to 104 °F; the unit has no fan, so sustained PoE output plus Wi-Fi 6 traffic will push it toward the top of that range in a closed wall cavity.
The access point requires UPOE or PoH input to power itself and provide PoE output; a standard 802.3af port will not supply enough power for full operation.
