Dual-band indoor wireless access point with 2×2:2 spatial streams on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
The Ruckus R320 is a 2x2:2 indoor wireless access point operating on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. It delivers dual-carrier connectivity for environments that need reliable coverage without complex antenna arrays. This model suits small offices, retail spaces or branch locations where a single radio pair handles the client load.
Replacing a single-band or 1x1 device adds a second spatial stream and the 5GHz band, reducing contention on the 2.4GHz spectrum. The jump is worthwhile when concurrent users exceed what one radio can serve cleanly or when legacy 2.4GHz-only clients share the air with modern dual-band devices.
Two spatial streams provide enough throughput for typical web, email and light streaming workloads across a modest number of clients. Performance tapers when high-density environments demand more simultaneous streams or when applications require sustained multi-gigabit rates that exceed the 2x2:2 radio capability.

The unit is an indoor wireless access point designed for ceiling or wall mounting; the box includes the brackets and screws required for standard drop-ceiling tiles or drywall.
Connect the single Ethernet cable to the PoE port before powering the switch, then adopt the AP in the Ruckus controller so the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios receive their channel and power settings.
The PoE injector or switch port supplying power is the only field-replaceable item; the internal dual-band radios and antennas are sealed inside the chassis.
