2.5" SAS SATA drive caddy for ProLiant G8

This bracket fits 2.5 inch SAS or SATA drives into ProLiant DL160, DL360P, DL380P and DL388P Gen8 and Gen9 systems. It uses the 651687-001 form factor to secure the drive in the hot-plug bay. The tray is built for internal storage expansion in these rackmount servers.

Sustained-load behaviour in hot-plug drive bays

The metal frame conducts heat away from the drive during continuous read and write cycles. Secure screw mounting prevents vibration that can degrade throughput over long periods. The latch mechanism stays aligned after repeated insertions, keeping the SAS or SATA connection stable under constant I/O. It is not for 3.5 inch drives or non-ProLiant chassis.
