21-key Bluetooth LED controller

This 21-key Bluetooth LED controller manages RGB, RGBW and RGBWW strips from a single DC head interface. It accepts a 5 V to 24 V supply and drives 5050, 2835, WS2811 and WS2812B tape through the Magic Home ecosystem. The unit measures 85 mm by 40 mm by 6 mm and weighs 38 g. Infrared and Bluetooth give a 15 m control range.

Capacity and headroom

The controller dims from 0 % to 100 % across the full 5 V to 24 V window, so short runs and long reels both stay within spec. Addressable WS2811 and WS2812B strips draw more current per metre; the 24 V ceiling limits total wattage before voltage drop appears on very long lengths. It is not suited for builders who need more than 24 V input or individual pixel mapping beyond the built-in modes.

Build integration

A three-core wire connects the DC head to the strip, leaving the PCI bracket slot free for other cards. Infrared and Bluetooth share the same 15 m radius, so the controller can sit behind a side panel without line-of-sight. IP20 rating means it stays inside the chassis, away from moisture. No extra driver software is required beyond the Magic Home app.
