Replacement cable for HyperX Cloud headsets

This 2 m extension cord replaces the detachable cable supplied with HyperX Cloud and HyperX Cloud Alpha gaming headsets. It uses a 3.5 mm male-to-male plug configuration with a woven jacket and metal connectors. The cord is tested with the HyperX Cloud Mix wired gaming headset and may not fit other models. No headphones are included in the package.

Upgrade from the stock detachable lead

The cable swaps the original lead for a longer 2 m run made from LC-OFC oxygen-free copper cores (30*0.05). Inline controls provide volume adjustment and a microphone switch, which the factory cable may lack. The jump is worthwhile when the supplied cord is too short or missing volume and mute functions. It does not add wireless operation, active noise cancellation or app support.

Limits of the 3.5 mm wired interface

The 3.5 mm analogue connection carries stereo audio and microphone signals only. It cannot transmit digital surround formats, software EQ profiles or firmware updates. Passive cable length beyond 2 m may increase resistance and signal loss without active buffering. Volume control and mic mute are the sole inline functions; there is no memory-card slot, waterproofing or Bluetooth capability.
