All connected fans follow the identical PWM signal from the motherboard. Only the CPU Fan channel passes an RPM signal back to the board, so monitoring software reports the speed of the fan plugged into channel one. Three-pin fans run at full speed because they lack PWM control pins.

Sustained Operation Without Speed Drift

Because every fan receives the same PWM duty cycle, speeds remain locked together during prolonged loads. The hub draws power directly from a Molex connector, removing the current limit of the motherboard header. No RPM feedback from channels two to five means the board cannot react to individual fan stalls.
