Compatible heatsink for HP CMT systems

This 577795-001 heatsink and fan assembly fits HP 8000, 8080, 8100, 8180 and Z200 CMT workstations. It uses a 4-pin, 4-wire connector for processor cooling. The part is supplied new and matches the original HP part number for these chassis.

Fits proprietary motherboard headers

Installation requires a compatible HP CMT motherboard with the matching 4-pin fan header. It frees the builder from sourcing a discontinued OEM cooler. Buyers needing a different socket layout or a larger thermal solution should verify their board specifications before ordering.

Questions about this item

How does the 4-pin / 4-wire fan connector affect thermal control under sustained load?

The 4-pin / 4-wire connector enables PWM speed control so the fan adjusts automatically as the processor temperature rises during continuous operation.

What noise and heat levels should I expect from this heatsink and fan when running all day in a Z200 CMT?

The unit is a small heatsink with a 4-wire fan designed for the Z200 CMT chassis; it draws power from the motherboard header and spins only as fast as the CPU thermal sensor demands.
