DL580 G5 Heatsink Screw Kit

This replacement screw set secures the CPU heatsink inside a DL580 G5 server. It matches part numbers 452461 453834 and 495179 for direct compatibility. The kit is intended for technicians maintaining or repairing this specific server platform. New condition ensures clean threads and reliable clamping force.

Sustained Clamping Under Thermal Cycling

The screws maintain consistent pressure as the heatsink expands and contracts during long compute runs. Stainless construction resists creep so torque does not relax over weeks of continuous operation. They are not suited for builds needing tool-less thumb screws or a different thread pitch. Installers without a calibrated driver should verify torque separately.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the heatsink screw generate when the DL580 G5 server runs continuously?

The screw itself produces no heat; it simply secures the CPU heatsink so the fan can cool the processor.

What other parts must already be installed for the heatsink screw to function in a DL580 G5?

A compatible CPU heatsink and processor socket are required; the screw fastens the heatsink to the motherboard mounting points.
