Ruth's sister Dual Ports Micro SD to CF Type I Adapter

SKU CH-S2X6-0S3S7

Dual microSD slots form a striped CF Type I array with no redundancy, so one card failure loses all data

  • Dual microSD slots expand CF device storage capacity
  • Striped array splits data across both cards for speed
  • Single card failure causes complete array data loss
  • Works with SDXC, SDHC and standard microSD cards
  • Read data by inserting adapter directly into CF card reader

Dual microSD to CF Type I Adapter

This adapter accepts two microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC cards and presents them as a single CompactFlash Type I device. It is intended for photographers or legacy equipment owners who need to use modern microSD media in a CF slot.

Striped array with no redundancy

The adapter splits data evenly across both inserted cards in a RAID 0 style array. There is no fault tolerance, so the failure of either card causes complete loss of the combined volume. Cards must be read together via the CF adapter rather than individually in a separate microSD reader.

Passive internal card form factor

The unit has no external cables and mounts directly into a CompactFlash Type I slot. Its passive design draws power from the host device and adds no active components. Compatibility depends on the host accepting a striped dual-card volume presented as a single CF drive.

Questions about this item

How does the dual-microSD array affect long-term reliability?

The adapter stripes data across both microSD cards with no redundancy; if either card fails the whole array fails, so plan to replace both cards together if one shows errors.

What speed ceiling appears first during continuous reads or writes?

Throughput is limited by the slower of the two microSD cards and the CompactFlash Type I interface, so sustained transfer rates will not exceed the lowest card rating.

Does the adapter add noticeable heat or power draw when used all day?

The passive adapter draws negligible extra power and generates no measurable heat beyond the two microSD cards themselves during extended use.
