EDP 30-pin driver board with HDMI 1.4 input and 5 V–20 V power for 1920×1080 panels
This EDP 30-pin driver board is built for the LP116WH7 SPB1 panel and accepts a single HDMI 1.4 signal. It supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and works with common 10 to 13 inch screens such as 1920 x 1080, 1600 x 900 and 1366 x 768. Makers integrating a tablet LCD into a custom project will find the standard HDMI connector and wide voltage range straightforward to wire.
The board operates from a 5 V to 20 V supply and uses high-temperature components rated for extended operation in warm environments. A standard 6-pin backlight connector and EDP-30-pin output keep cabling simple. Adequate ventilation is recommended so the components stay within their thermal limits during typical desktop or embedded workloads.
Jumper-cap adjustment matches the driver to the exact panel resolution before long-term deployment. The design includes HDMI and 4-pin IIC upgrade paths for firmware updates without removing the board. Remote control and multi-screen parameter selection remain functional during continuous operation, while the gold-plated HDMI port resists oxidation over months of daily use.

Connect the HDMI input and 5 V–20 V power, plug the 30-pin EDP cable into the LP116WH7 SPB1 screen, attach the 6-pin backlight connector, then move the jump cap to the position marked for 1920*1080 resolution before powering on.
The board uses high-temperature components for long life; keep ventilation clear and check the 6-pin backlight cable and HDMI port for dust or loose contacts during routine system cleaning.
The HDMI 1.4 input caps the signal at 1920*1200 maximum resolution, so sustained 4 K or higher refresh rates cannot be passed through this driver board.
