ESP32 development board with dual-core processor, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, CH340C USB interface, 4 MB flash, 520 kB SRAM, and 5–12 V external power input
This ESP32-DevKitC-32 board integrates a dual-core 32-bit MCU with WiFi and Bluetooth for embedded projects. It suits developers, students and hobbyists who need a compact platform for IoT prototyping. The board measures 51.77x28.45mm and weighs about 9.5g. It supports Arduino IDE, Mixly and Mind+ programming environments.
The board uses a USB-C connector with CH340C driver chip for stable communication and power delivery. It accepts VIN input from 5-12V, USB power or external 3.3V supply, with a battery version limited to 5.5V maximum. Ultra-low power design keeps heat and noise negligible during normal operation. Integrated 520-kB SRAM and 448-kB ROM support efficient processing.
Under continuous operation the dual-core ESP32-DOWDQ6-V3 maintains performance with 4MB external storage for firmware and data. The 16-kB RTC SRAM preserves state during deep sleep cycles. Wide voltage input range ensures stable operation across varying supply conditions. This board is not for builders who need more storage or higher I/O counts than the module provides.

Add the ESP32 board manager URL in Preferences, install the esp32 package via Boards Manager, then select ESP32 Dev Module; the step often missed is pressing the BOOT button while clicking Upload to enter download mode.
The CH340C driver may require a reinstall after major OS updates; the board itself has no user-serviceable parts, so only the USB cable might need replacement if it wears out.
Thermal throttling from the 520-kB SRAM and 448-kB ROM activity under continuous dual-core operation typically limits performance before the 4MB flash or 3.3V supply becomes a bottleneck.
