Heatsink 00KC908 00KC912

This heatsink is a CPU cooler component designed for X3550 and X3550M5 servers. It dissipates heat from the processor to maintain stable operating temperatures. The unit is sold in new condition. It serves as a direct replacement for the original cooling hardware in these specific systems.

Server maintenance and repair

Technicians maintaining X3550 or X3550M5 servers can use this heatsink to replace a damaged or missing cooler. It is not suitable for other server models or desktop platforms. Buyers needing active cooling with an integrated fan should look at a different assembly. Those building custom workstations require a cooler matching their specific socket and chassis.

Questions about this item

What thermal limit does the 00KC908 heatsink reach first during sustained CPU load?

The small heatsink design for the X3550 M5 will hit its thermal saturation point before the fan curve ramps to maximum speed.

How much acoustic output does the cooler produce when running continuously in an X3550 server?

Mounted on the 3550 platform the unit runs at a low-profile height, so airflow noise stays within typical rack-server background levels.
