Connects a Micro SD card to a 44-pin IDE laptop drive bay using DMA-33 transfer mode
This compact adapter lets you use a micro SD card as a direct replacement for a 2.5-inch IDE drive in older laptops. It presents the card to the system as a standard IDE storage device without requiring drivers.
The board fits a TF card on its back face and connects through a true 44-pin IDE interface. It supports DMA-33 and Ultra DMA transfer modes while complying with TF 2.0 and ATA-33 standards.
The 5 by 3.5 centimetre PCB weighs about nine grams and adds negligible bulk inside a drive bay. No external power cable is needed because the adapter draws power directly from the IDE connector.

The TF card offers shock-resistance, high temperature-resistance and stable performance, so replacement depends on the card's own endurance rating rather than the adapter.
The board complies with IDE/ATA-33 and supports DMA-33 mode, capping sustained throughput at 33 MB/s.
The adapter has no moving parts and draws negligible power, so it adds no audible noise and no measurable heat beyond the micro SD card itself.
