SD and micro-SD card extension board for testing and reading cards in devices with full-size SD slots
The Ruth's sister extension board converts a TF or micro-SD card into a full-size SD form factor so it can be read in devices that only have an SD slot. It targets users who need to access micro-SD media through older speakers, cameras, GPS units or other portable gear that lacks a dedicated micro-SD reader.
The board removes the need to carry a separate USB adapter when the host device already provides an SD slot. The upgrade is worthwhile when the target equipment cannot be updated to support micro-SD natively and a mechanical converter is the simplest path to data access.
The converter supports SDHC cards from 4 GB to 32 GB and SDXC cards up to 64 GB, so larger modern cards will not be recognised. It also requires a host that can address those standards, meaning very early SD-only devices may still fail to read the media.
