  • 38 kHz modulation supports reliable IrDA meter-reading links
  • Dual RS485 and RS232 interfaces cover diverse industrial equipment
  • New condition ensures full performance from first use

USB Far Infrared Serial Adapter

This USB adapter provides a far infrared interface compatible with RS485 and RS232 serial equipment using 38kHz modulation. It connects meter-reading devices and similar industrial hardware to a host computer without legacy ports. The cable integrates the IrDA physical layer so existing serial protocols operate over the optical link.

Installers needing wireless serial links

The adapter suits engineers retrofitting meter-reading or industrial gear that communicates through far infrared at 38kHz. It does not serve installers who require a direct electrical RS232 or RS485 connection without an optical gap. Buyers needing Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or standard USB-to-serial conversion should consider other products.
