SKU CH-E5SZ-AWZ72

Heatsink and fan assembly for HP xw4400, xw4550 and xw4600 workstations with 4-pin power and aluminium copper heatpipes

  • Compatible with XW4550, XW4400 and XW4600 workstations
  • 12 V fan runs at 1500 to 2000 rpm for steady airflow
  • Aluminium heatsink with copper heatpipes draws heat from the CPU
  • Four-pin Molex connector provides direct power to the fan
  • Rated for 100000 hours of continuous operation

Compatible Workstation Heatsink Assembly

This heatsink and fan assembly is built for the XW4550, XW4400 and XW4600 workstation lines. It provides CPU cooling for systems using supported Core 2 Dual processors running at 3 GHz or higher. The unit includes the mounting screws needed for installation.

Verify Motherboard Power Header And Clearance

Confirm that the motherboard offers a 4-pin Molex power connection for the fan. Check that the chassis has enough space around the CPU socket to accommodate the 80 x 80 x 15 cm fan dimensions. Ensure the existing mounting holes match the supplied four-screw pattern before ordering.

Aluminium Construction With Copper Heatpipes

The heat sink uses aluminium fins combined with copper heatpipes to transfer heat away from the processor. A 9-blade fan spins between 1500 and 2000 rpm at 12 V and is rated for 100000 hours of operation. The 4-pin Molex connector supplies power directly from the power supply unit.

Questions about this item

Does the heatsink-fan assembly include mounting hardware or must I buy screws separately?

The package contains the heatsink with fan and four mounting screws, so no additional hardware is required for installation.

Which workstation models does the 453580-001 heatsink support?

It is designed for HP xw4400, xw4550 and xw4600 workstations and fits Core 2 Duo processors running at 3 GHz or higher.

What does the 1500 to 2000 rpm fan speed mean for everyday cooling?

The 4-pin fan spins between 1500 and 2000 rpm, moving enough air through the aluminium fins and copper heat-pipes to keep a 3 GHz Core 2 Duo within safe temperatures under normal workloads.
