Portable Playback Boombox

The RXC-15RBT is a portable cassette player that also receives AM, FM and shortwave radio. It streams audio via Bluetooth 2 and Bluetooth 3, plays files from a USB drive and accepts an AUX input for external devices. A 2400mAh rechargeable battery powers the unit for extended listening away from a mains socket.

For Tape And Radio Enthusiasts

This unit suits listeners who want a single device for cassettes, broadcast radio and wireless streaming from a phone or tablet. The carrying handle and 2.8 pound weight make it practical for picnics or travel. Buyers who need recording capability should look elsewhere, as this model is playback only.

Playback Only Operation

The specification states the type is a playback-only cassette player, so it cannot record onto tape. This single fact decides whether the RXC-15RBT matches the intended use.

Questions about this item

Does the RXC-15RBT include a charging cable or must I buy one separately?

The unit ships with a USB charging cable for the 2400mAh battery so no separate purchase is needed.

Should I choose the Bluetooth 2 or Bluetooth 3 driver version for better range?

Both versions use the same radio; the driver count refers to internal speaker configuration, not wireless range.

What does the 20 inch dimension tell me about where the boombox will fit?

At 20 inches wide the RXC-15RBT sits comfortably on a kitchen counter, picnic table or shelf while remaining portable at 2.8 pounds.
