What this charger is

The Ryaobwu SM45CL-01 is a 65W USB-C power adapter built for Asus laptops and the Rog Ally handheld. It delivers 20V at up to 3.25A and includes a detachable AC cord with over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection.

Who it suits and who it does not

Buyers replacing a lost or faulty Asus 45W or 65W USB-C adapter for the listed ZenBook, VivoBook, Chromebook Flip, ExpertBook or Transformer models will find a direct match. Users needing a higher wattage brick for larger gaming notebooks or a multi-port desktop charger should look elsewhere.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm your device charges via USB-C and accepts 20V 2.25A or 3.25A output. Check that the original adapter part number matches ADP-45EW B or the model series shown in the compatibility list. Ensure the included 2-pin AC plug fits your wall outlet or that you have a suitable travel adapter.

Questions about this item

Do I need a USB-C cable with this charger or is one built in?

The charger has a fixed USB-C output cable; no separate cable is required.

Will the 65W adapter safely charge an older 45W Asus ZenBook such as the UX390UA?

Yes, the charger negotiates 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V or 20 V up to 3.25 A, so a 45W model draws only the power it needs.

How can I confirm the charger is delivering the correct voltage after I plug it in?

The adapter supports 20 V at 2.25 A and 3.25 A; a USB-C power meter or the laptop’s battery indicator will show the negotiated voltage and current.
