The Rycote 033342 kit pairs a 14cm short-hair windshield with a pistol-grip handle and InVision Lyre suspension cradles for outdoor field recording. It fits most shotgun microphones and includes a Mogami cable with Neutrik connectors for immediate use.

Capacity and headroom

The 19 to 22mm diameter softie slides over standard shotgun barrels and the Lyre cradle isolates handling vibration during boom or handheld work. Wind noise is reduced in typical ENG conditions, but extreme gusts or sustained high-wind environments will exceed the short-hair cover's rejection ability.

Practical limits of the standard interface
