Two-port HDMI switch for dual-source setups

The Sabrent DA-HSW2 is a bidirectional HDMI switch that connects two sources to one display or one source to two displays. A single button toggles the active path and LED indicators show which port is live. It is suited for users who alternate between a console and a PC or between two monitors without unplugging cables.

Push-button switching and LED status

The front-panel push button changes the signal route instantly and the two LEDs confirm the selected input or output. No external power supply is required; the switch draws operating current from the HDMI lines. The aluminium enclosure is surface-mountable and rated IP00 for indoor use only.

4K60 bandwidth with short-cable headroom

The switch passes video up to 4K at 60 Hz and is backward compatible with 1080p and 2K signals. For reliable 4K60 operation the manufacturer advises using standard HDMI 2.0 cables under 3.3 feet each and a combined run no longer than 6.5 feet. Longer cables or higher refresh rates beyond 60 Hz are not supported.

Questions about this item

Will the push-button actuator wear out and need replacement?

The switch uses a push-button actuator rated for ON-OFF-ON operation with two positions and normally closed contacts; no cycle-life figure is published, so long-term durability is unknown.

What is the first limit reached during continuous 4K@60Hz use?

The operating temperature range tops out at 37 °C, and the current rating is 1 A, so sustained high-bandwidth operation will hit thermal limits before electrical ones.

Does the unit generate noticeable heat or fan noise when left on all day?

The device has no fan and draws only 0.9 nanovolts at 1 A, so it runs silently and produces minimal heat within the 30–37 °C operating window.
