Saf-T-Cart 860-14 Cylinder HandTruck

The Saf-T-Cart 860-14 is a cylinder hand truck built to move gas cylinders and similar loads around a worksite. Its rounded-back frame and continuous flow-back handle give the operator a secure grip while tilting and steering. The unit ships new and ready for assembly.

Suited for single-cylinder transport up to 400 lb

This truck serves warehouses, workshops and delivery crews that move one cylinder at a time on hard, flat surfaces. The semipneumatic rubber wheels roll over small debris without going flat. Operations needing a foot-assist plate, a lever pushoff, a lift ring or a built-in firewall will not find those features on this model.

Load capacity 400 lb with 14 in semipneumatic wheels

The axle-mounted 14-inch rubber wheels support the rated 400 lb capacity and absorb vibration on concrete or asphalt. The chain securing mechanism holds the cylinder against the rounded back during transport. Overall dimensions are 42 inches high, 21 inches wide and 6-1/2 inches deep.

Questions about this item

Will the 42 in height and 21 in width fit through my standard doorway?

The hand truck is 42 in tall and 21 in wide, so it will pass through any doorway wider than 21 in with the load upright.

How do I attach the chain securing mechanism and what step is often missed?

Wrap the chain around the cylinder and lock it into the frame catch; the step often missed is pulling the chain tight before engaging the catch so the load cannot shift.

When should I replace the 14 in semipneumatic rubber wheels?

Replace the wheels when the rubber tread shows deep cracks, flat spots, or the wheel wobbles on the axle, which reduces the 400 lb capacity.
