Cylinder Trolley for Medical Use
The Saf-T-Cart MDE-6 cylinder trolley is built for medical environments that need to move gas cylinders safely. It holds up to six cylinders in a vertical orientation and supports a maximum load of 250 lb. The unit is intended for facilities where cylinders up to 4 1/2 in. in diameter must be transported between locations.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw
This is a non-powered manual trolley, so it produces no heat, no fan noise and draws no electricity during operation. Movement relies entirely on the user pushing or pulling the cart across the floor. The semipneumatic wheels absorb vibration without requiring pneumatic maintenance or an air supply.
Six Cylinder Vertical Capacity
The defining specification is the six-cylinder vertical capacity combined with the 250 lb load rating, which determines whether the trolley matches the facility's cylinder count and weight requirements. Cylinders larger than 4 1/2 in. in diameter will not fit the designated slots. Buyers needing to transport more than six cylinders at once or cylinders exceeding the diameter limit should consider a different configuration.

Questions about this item
How do I assemble the axle-mounted semipneumatic wheels and ensure the 250 lb load capacity is maintained?
Mount the two 8-inch semipneumatic wheels onto the axle, secure the retaining hardware fully, and verify the cylinder cradles align vertically before loading up to 250 lb.
What maintenance do the 8-inch semipneumatic wheels need over time?
Inspect the semipneumatic tyres for cracks or flat spots, lubricate the axle bearings periodically, and replace any wheel that no longer rolls freely under a 250 lb load.
At what point does the 19-inch width become the limiting factor when manoeuvring six vertical cylinders?
The 19-inch overall width restricts passage through standard doorways first, so measure openings before moving a full load of six 4 1/2-inch cylinders.
