Wall-Mountable Interoffice Mailbox

The Safco 4258BL is a steel wall-mountable mailbox designed for internal mail collection, drop-box use or secure office communication. It suits workplaces that need a lockable point for documents without allocating floor space. The black powder-coat finish resists daily wear in busy environments.

Locking Door and Slot Dimensions

A hinged door secures contents with a keyed lock and two keys are supplied. The top mail slot measures 10 1/2 by 3/4 inches, limiting the thickness of envelopes or parcels that can be inserted. Only items fitting through this aperture can be deposited without opening the door.

Mounting and Clearance Checks

Verify that the intended wall can accept the included mounting hardware and that the 12 by 12 by 3 inch footprint clears adjacent fixtures. Confirm the slot orientation matches your traffic flow so users can deposit mail without obstruction. Ensure the door swing has enough clearance to open fully for retrieval.

Questions about this item

How does the 10 1/2 x 3/4 inch top slot limit the size of envelopes or documents I can drop in?

The slot accepts standard letter-size envelopes and folded A4 sheets; bulky parcels or thick catalogues will not fit through the opening.

Does the wall-mountable design with included hardware support both drywall and concrete installations?

The supplied hardware is intended for standard stud or masonry mounting; verify the fastener type matches your wall material before drilling.

What security does the locking hinged door with two keys provide for interoffice mail?

The cam lock secures the door against casual access; only holders of the two included keys can retrieve contents.
